pihms, Inc has hired Pat Cua as the company’s new Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing. Pat joins pihms with over twenty-four years of Sales, Corporate Executive and Business Development experience in the healthcare industry. Pat is a seasoned executive with large public company experience as well as small private company experience.

Pat’s healthcare industry experience began with C.R. Bard, a multi-billion dollar medical device company. Pat held various positions during his eight year tenure with C.R. Bard including the leadership of a sales team focused on the angioplasty market for the hospitals and physician groups.

Leaving C.R. Bard, Pat joined a venture capital start up called Cardiac Alliance. Cardiac Alliance was a small company trying to push its’ way into the yet to be defined or named industry which ultimately became the Disease Management and Wellness industry. Within the first year of Cardiac Alliance, Pat led the search and found the company that Cardiac Alliance later merged with. This merger with Ralin Medical was the start of what would ultimately become CorSolutions. Pat’s role focused on being a key member of the Executive Team, building and leading Sales Teams, driving strategic acquisitions and either leading or playing key roles in mergers. Fifteen years, hundreds of organic sales, and several acquisitions later the resulting company is a five hundred million dollar division of Inverness Medical (IMA) a multibillion dollar Healthcare services and device company. During his fifteen plus years at these companies Mr. Cua held various positions that included General Manager Operations, Executive Vice President of Sales as well as Executive Vice President, Strategic Acquisitions.

A pioneer in the disease management field, Pat has served on the Institute for Productivity and Management Advisory Board and is a long-time member of American College of Healthcare Executives. He also has authored several published articles relating to healthcare and complex sales. Pat earned his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University.
