J2E Software Developer

Position Summary:

Develops specifications for moderately complex software applications. Develops, modifies and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized. Participates in design and
coding activities with other staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to design and develop Web applications backed with Oracle database.
  • Designs, codes and analyzes system applications.
  • Build dynamic web pages and web components using J2EE technology.
  • Maintains and modifies existing applications.
  • Performs custom programming at customer request.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiar with J2EE and related technology.

Bi-Lingual Customer Support Representative

Position Summary:

This position provides administrative, secretarial and desktop support for the Company. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, this function performs duties such as testing software and assisting the software development team in the performance of required tasks. Also responsible for the coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, working on special projects. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to the Company.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities for all members of the department.

  • Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system.
  • Retrieves information from files when needed.

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

IT Project Manager

Position Summary:

Coordinates IT projects and ensures company resources are utilized appropriately. Compiles project status reports, manages project schedules and meetings, and identifies and resolves technical problems. Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines technical project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Coordinates technical project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately. Reports to Director of Software Development.

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related area.

  • This person must have strong leadership presence with client counterparts and project teams.

Senior Database Administrator

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for maintaining the oracle database and applications. Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. This position will also require user support as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and maintain Oracle database applications.
  • System tuning, performance monitoring, and database maintenance.

Senior Network Administrator

Position Summary:

The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network with Windows 2000 servers, XP Workstations/laptops, applications and linux application and database servers.

Essential Functions:

  • Installing, configuring, testing and debugging operating systems and multi-user applications.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software environments to ensure Network and Computer Security.
  • Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and coordinating repairs for PC hardware/software.

Software Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager: oversees the processes, policies, procedures, planning, designing and development of the pihms’ Software Quality Assurance Methodology for the organization in a multi platform matrix environment. Works closely with other personnel to ensure definition and deployment of a coordinated Testing Methodology. Provides quality processes and technical leadership to the Software Quality Assurance Testing team. Establishes a strong presence as a change agent deploying innovative and effective Software Quality Assurance measures that establish the company standard and benchmark for all software releases. Balances and tracks staff workload and project scheduling.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees and implements the development and maintenance of quality standards and processes to meet the needs of pihms in the area of Software Quality Assurance.
  • Reviews requirement specification documents and software design specification documents and manages development of associated test plans and test cases. Scale the Testing Methodology to the individual project needs for appropriate planning, execution and feedback cycles to occur.
  • Manage the QA team, developing a short-term and long-term program to expand the pihms Software Quality Assurance process to align with company strategic objectives.
  • Participate in development and review of organizational goals. Develop and implement QA department action plans that provide strategic linkage to company objectives.
  • Own the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance Life Cycle (QALC) measures. These measures will include risk assessments/tolerance, risk analysis and mitigation, and Key Performance Indicators as determined by the company.
  • Develop and deliver Software Quality Assurance Methodology training to the team, IT process, and Business processes.
  • Manage the preparation and development of test strategies and test plans. Write test schedule, test scripts, procedures and/or guidelines for different test phases.
  • Coordinate with the developers to get all the identified bugs fixed.
  • Ensure that training and demo are fully functioning prior to all training and demonstrations.
  • Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out departmental functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • ASQ and/or QAI certification.
  • Requires 6 to 8 years of total experience including 3 to 5 years as a Software Quality Assurance Testing manager with emphasis on program development and deployment.
  • Proven experience in developing QA methodology and creating an SQA organization.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working in software development or closely with the applications development group.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application technologies including Web Servers, Application Servers, Databases, Monitoring and Performance solutions used to determine availability and performance.
  • Functional knowledge in PL/SQL, Oracle, Developer 2000, RDBMS, Windows2000 and/or UNIX environments.

Position Summary:

The pihms Sales Representative will be responsible for the promotion and sales of pihms software products and services in the Continental United States. Within the scope of pihms Inc’s mission, and consistent with its core competencies, the Sales Executive will actively pursue business development and marketing opportunities to facilitate attainment of company goals. The Sales Executive will also attain sales accounts and territory development using extensive product knowledge and selling skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring quality of service by gaining a thorough and detailed knowledge of pihms products.

Websphere Administrator

Position Summary:

Performs work in Websphere application development, systems design, systems analysis, and technical leadership in a multi-dimensional environment. Work Involves application of Use Case Methodology to develop requirements for system design and development. Performs administrative and monitoring tasks related to the support of Websphere application servers (WAS), including installing the software, configuring, tuning, backup and recovery. Develops and maintains routines needed to automate tasks related to WAS maintenance. Performs similar tasks for Web Server software used to access WAS. Resolves or refers problems related to use of WAS.

  • Manages systems functionality and data integrity including analyzing problems, providing solutions, or recommending corrective action.

Oracle Production Database Administrator

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for the administration and support of the production Oracle RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems). /p>

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring database availability as per requirements.
  • Managing database backup and recovery using RMAN.
  • Managing database security.
  • Ensuring adequate performance of the production RDBMS.
  • Undertaking problem resolution including the application of RDBMS bug fixes.
  • Performing proactive monitoring of the RDBMS and regular infrastructure reviews.
  • Performing build and configuration of the RDBMS.
  • Support and maintain Oracle database applications.

Secondary Functions:

  • Assist with application and user support when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 4 years experience as a DBA, 2 years of which are in a Production support capacity in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Strong SQL knowledge is essential, PL/SQL is a plus.
  • Experience of administration of Oracle Application Server/BI Server is a significant plus.
  • A degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • OCP is preferred but not essential.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to provide on-call support when required without supervision.
