Pihms, originally founded in 1995 (as KCRS, Inc.) as a management consulting company that initially specialized in providing benchmarking and process reengineering to improve efficiencies and reduce exposure and expenses associated with work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.

Utilizing this framework, pihms eventually evolved into a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider focusing on best practices for tracking, measuring and managing human capital.
